(a) The total amount of Land Compensation paid for the Ri Bhoi District Jail at Nongpoh?

 

   (a) The total amount of land compensation paid for the Ri Bhoi District Jail at Nongpoh is Rs.61,16,338/-(Rupees sixty one lakhs sixteen thousand three hundred thirty eight) only.
(b) When was the compensation paid and the name of the owner of the land?   (b) 80% of the amount indicated at (a0 above was paid on 09.09.1999.
      The remaining 20% was paid on 06.12.1999. The name of the land owner is Smti. A.L.J. Blah.
(c) Whether it is a fact that compensation was paid under emergency clause?   (c) Yes, Sir.
 
(d) If so, the reasons behind this step?   (d) It is a matter of urgency in the interest of public service.
(e) The distance of the acquired plot from Nongpoh DC's Court and the area of the plot?   (e) The distance of the acquired plot from Nongpoh D.C.'s Court is approximately 10 Kms and the area of the land is 16.33 Acres more or less.
(f) Whether it is a fact that due process of land acquisition act was not adhered to in this particular case?   (f) The procedures specified in the Land Acquisition Act were strictly complied with.
 
(g) If so, the reasons thereof?   (f) Does not arise in view of (f) above.
